🚨Issue Identified in 2023 World GDP Composition Data
A challenge in our analysis of global GDP composition as of 2023 is that some data points represent regions classified by the World Bank (e.g., World, OECD members) rather than individual countries. This is a frequent issue in data analysis, requiring proper data grouping and cleaning. In the next step, we will utilize Pivolx's calculated column feature to efficiently address and resolve this issue.

World GDP Composition in 2023: Issue Resolved and Key Insights
To address the issue of regional data points in our 2023 global GDP analysis, we created a "Country Group" column based on the "Country Name" field. All region-based values were grouped under a "Regions" category and excluded via filtering, resulting in a clean dataset containing only individual countries. This process has enabled us to derive clear insights:
* The total world GDP in 2023 is $105 trillion.
* The top two countries, the United States and China, account for 43% of the global GDP.

World GDP Growth Over Two Decades (2003–2023)
Between 2003 and 2023, global GDP growth varied significantly among major economies. The United States saw a robust GDP increase of 142%, adding $16 trillion to its economy, reaching a total of $27.4 trillion by 2023. China, however, experienced a remarkable 972% growth, also adding $16 trillion, growing from a 2003 base of $1.6 trillion to $17.6 trillion. While both nations added the same absolute amount to their GDP, China’s percentage growth is notably higher due to its lower starting point in 2003.
In contrast, Japan was the only major economy to experience a decline, with its GDP contracting by 7% over the same period.
